Who am I?
Hello! I'm Garima Singh, an engineer, architect, leader, mom, wife, and a baker all rolled into one. Currently, I'm an Engineering Manager at Bunnings, where I lead a dynamic website tribe in the Digital Department. Whether it's making critical tech design decisions or getting my hands dirty with code, I relish every aspect of my job. I thrive in architectural discussions – give me a problem, a whiteboard, a marker, and you've probably made my day. Balancing multiple roles in my life has taught me the value of adaptability and continuous learning. My journey in tech has been incredibly diverse, and I've loved every minute of it. From coding to coaching, each experience has enriched my professional and personal life.
Things I Have Done
Over the past 15 years, I've had the privilege of working in various industries, honing my skills and broadening my horizons. At Bunnings, I lead a team focused on enhancing customer experience on the retail and trade website, guiding technical direction, planning OKRs, and mentoring team members.
Previously, I worked at ThoughtWorks for 7 years, collaborating with various clients across locations such as Australia, Singapore, the UK, and India. My experiences include leading the migration of monolithic systems to microservices, delivering a customer service solution for a taxi-hailing service, and developing a private banking iPad application. I have crafted comprehensive roadmaps and implemented best practices like TDD, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code.
I have also worked with J.P. Morgan Chase in Singapore and SlideShare in India.
Throughout my career, I've been recognized for my contributions and expertise, including a nomination for the “Future CIO of the Year” award at the Women in IT Awards Asia 2019. I've also shared my knowledge as a speaker at various tech conferences.
I invite you to explore my LinkedIn and GitHub profiles to learn more about my work and connect with me.
